Reconstruction work on the Vana-Kuuste–Reola section in Kambja Municipality was completed in October. The aim of the project was to improve road safety and develop the necessary road infrastructure.

The reconstructed section is approximately 6.58 km long. The traffic lanes were widened to 3.5 metres, with a 1-metre-wide reinforced shoulder constructed on both sides. To ensure smoother and safer travel, an overtaking lane was added, new bus bays were built and overgrown vegetation was removed to improve visibility.
