Yesterday, KMG OÜ opened its first solar park at the Sauga asphalt plant in Pärnu. The solar park will support asphalt concrete production with solar energy, reduce our carbon footprint and decrease the company’s dependence on fossil fuels.

Covering an area of nearly 4,000 square metres, the solar park has a capacity of 230 kW and includes a battery energy storage system.

We are pleased with the result. In addition to improving efficiency, adopting renewable energy solutions is an important part of being a responsible company and preparing for the future. Solar energy generation aligns well with our asphalt production schedule—production takes place in summer and pauses in winter. This investment will make our operations more competitive in the years ahead.
