Old Halinga Railway Viaduct Demolished on the KMG OÜ and Infragreen OÜ Project on the Tallinn–Pärnu–Ikla Road

During the night before Thursday, the Estonian Transport Administration and the Estonian Defence Forces demolished the old Halinga railway viaduct on the Tallinn–Pärnu–Ikla road in Pärnu County, as it stood in the way of the road-widening works.

“For KMG OÜ and Infragreen OÜ, the construction of the Halinga–Kangru section between km 103.5 and 108.5 of the Tallinn–Pärnu–Ikla road is a significant contract. If our work can also help support Estonia’s defence capability in cooperation with the Estonian Defence Forces and the Estonian Transport Administration, it is a privilege to contribute our expertise and machinery to the demolition of the viaduct,” said Targo Toots, Member of the Management Board of KMG OÜ.

The demolition of the railway viaduct forms part of the construction of the 2+2 Halinga–Kangru road section between km 103.5 and 108.5 of the Tallinn–Pärnu–Ikla road. The total cost of the project is €25.5 million, excluding VAT. The European Union is co-financing 85% of the construction works.

KMG OÜ and Infragreen OÜ are responsible for demolishing and removing the old railway viaduct.
