Every summer, two young construction students join us as interns to gain practical experience at a large company. Internships last from two weeks to three months. During this time, the interns accompany our project managers and learn about the many different aspects of construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our aim is to offer them a varied and engaging experience that provides a genuine insight into what working at a construction company is like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is our interview with two motivated interns, Karel and Nele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where do you study, and why did you choose construction?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nele: I study at Tallinn University of Applied Sciences. I chose construction because it seemed extremely interesting and was not such a common choice of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Karel: I study at J\u00e4rvamaa Vocational Training Centre and am about to begin my second year. As a child, I accompanied my father to construction sites, and I have been interested in construction ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why did you choose to complete your internship with us?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nele: When I contacted KMG about an internship, I received a very positive response and we quickly started discussing the opportunity. To my surprise, the entire team has been incredibly friendly and youthful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Karel: I found the internship through an acquaintance who recommended KMG O\u00dc to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Are the managers strict?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nele: No. Mihkel, the site manager, has been very kind and helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Karel: The managers are definitely not strict. On the contrary, they are very kind and friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What excites you most about the internship, and what have you enjoyed so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nele: I believe the entire internship will be very exciting and will add a great deal to my studies. The most interesting experience so far has been observing the asphalting work and seeing the entire process up close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Karel: I want to see how construction work is carried out and complete some practical tasks myself. I will gain plenty of new experience to share with others. Every internship is valuable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
